In August 2003, ClosedNetworks Inc (CNI) purchased Frederick G. Griffin Engineering (FGGE).  Today FGGE is a wholly owned division of CNI. One of the key missions of ClosedNetworks Consulting (CNIC) is to provide first class communications engineering and consulting services to State and Local Governments.  Through the years, the firm has grown by the addition of staff and facilities.  CNIC has provided consulting services to over 200 State and Local Government Clients in 38 States and has active clients in PA, TN, VA, NJ, MA, NC, OH, and NV.  CNIC has a staff of professional engineers and communications systems experts to draw upon as needs require.  CNIC staff members are active in relevant professional organizations like APCO, IEEE and INFAGARD, and they stay abreast of advances in the industry and technology by attending and contributing to conferences and seminars in their respective disciplines.  In 2005 CNI wrote a paper on Homeland Security Funding and Interoperability and presented at four conferences: APICS for Southeast PA on “Wireless in Supply Chain Management”, TN Emergency Number Agency’s Winter Conference on “All About VoIP”, the Annual International Wireless Expo and Conference (IWCE) in Las Vegas on “Homeland Security Funding and Interoperability”, the Southeast PA Chapter of INFAGARD on “Wireless Security”, and a paper and seminar on 4.9 GHz Applications for Public Safety at the National APCO Conference in Denver.  In 2006 CNI is slated to make a presentation at the Annual International Wireless Expo and Conference (IWCE) on “4.9 GHz Promises and Pitfalls for Public Safety”, and a seminar on “Homeland Security and Consolidated Communications Systems” at the Annual TN Emergency Numbering Agency’s Winter Conference in Gatlinburg, TN.
